Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman is Distinguished Professor of Psychology and director of the Center for Public Policy Research at the University of California Davis. She has received a lot of praise for pioneering the study of child witnesses and eyewitness memories in legal settings. Professor Goodman is a prolific writer and has been awarded numerous grants, and has been recognized with numerous award both international and national. She has consulted with numerous authorities and organizations across the world on policies and studies on child victims in the legal system. She is a consultant to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She was a part of various professional associations, for example, the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. (Divisions Experimental Psychology Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family policy and practice American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 56) She also is a founding participant of the American Professional Society for the Abuse of Children, the Psychonomics Society Society for Research into Child Development and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. Professor Goodman was the president of American Psychological Association's three divisions: Division American Psychology Law Society, Division Developmental Psychology and Division Society for Child and Family Policy and Practice.
